Eligibility – Professional Dancers
To ensure a fair and consistent competitive environment, individuals currently engaged as professional dancers are not eligible to compete.
For the purposes of this event, a professional dancer is defined as someone employed as a full-time dancer (including paid apprentices) with a professional dance company under a contract of at least 26 weeks per year. This definition also applies to individuals who have previously held such contracts, as well as those who have entered into paid professional engagements commencing after the competition registration date.
Participants are expected to provide accurate and truthful information regarding their eligibility. Where eligibility requirements are not met, the organisation reserves the right to withdraw a participant from the competition and revoke any awards or prizes.
In such cases, the event organisers may also issue a formal notice regarding the withdrawal of awards. Any exceptions to these eligibility requirements are at the discretion of the Director of BICD Prix.
